Shoebox Christmas - Tamariki (Youth)
Vinnies Tāmaki Makaurau
Vinnies Tāmaki Makaurau serves as a vital community hub, offering a diverse array of social services and food support for families and individuals facing all sorts of hard times due to job loss, high cost of living and illnesses . Our community hub provides a welcoming and supportive environment, addressing the unique needs of our community.
This year we will be working closely together with The Society of St Vincent de Paul South Auckland and The Village Community Services Trust in West Auckland. Together, we're working to bring joy and support to families and individuals in need across Auckland this holiday season.
As the holiday season approaches, many families will continue to struggle, particularly those who have who can't make the dollar stretch to have something special for their whanau. This Christmas, we're calling on your kindness and generosity to bring hope and joy to those in need.
Donate to our Christmas Shoebox Appeal and spread the word. Your support will make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.
Thank you for your compassion and generosity.
Shoebox Christmas is how we let our tamariki (children) know we’ve got their back.
We do this with your help by working alongside Vinnies Tāmaki Makaurau that spend their time helping members of our community. You are making a difference locally, is a simple three-step process.
Tuatahi / One
Sign up and we'll match you immediately with a tamaiti (child) from Vinnies Tamaki Makaurau. We’ll tell you their age, gender.
Tuarua / Two
You put together a koha they will love, ideally something that can fit in a shoebox, wrap it, attach the label, or copy the details onto the box (no tags please since these can break off).
Tuatoru / Three
We have four drop off location listed below and a staff there will make sure it gets to the tamaiti (child) you’ve prepared it for.
